24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?
25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
Romans 8: 24-25

I came across this verse during my evening prayer, and as its happening of late, each event, each verse, that I come across, means a lot to me. This concept called HOPE, is very abstract. Only a person who believes in hope, one with an optimistic approach to life, will see meaning in what I intend to say, but may not put down appropriately. Life has so much to offer to us humans. It may be revealed through various means, at various stages of life. The same thing which might have seemed trivial at one point of time may be your only hope at another stage of life.

At times, when situations become inexplicable, complicated, seem to be getting out of hand, that's when our friend, Hope comes along to help. Hope's God's way of saying, child you've tried hard, now you better sit still and let me help you out. A time when you realise the power of prayer, mostly through the most unexpected channels [the problem itself].

Hope however, isn't a solution to all of life's problems. In situations where the problem in question has long lasting effects, one should give it his/her best and if they think that it isn't worth the effort or time, you might as well terminate the issue. Hopefully, if you end things at an early enough stage, you won't end up complicating things further, and end up feeling better that you saved yourself time to try your hand at something more productive and saved yourself the embarassment. The earlier, the better. But that doesn't amount to giving up either.

So,don't always sit back and hope, be proactive, act before its too late. Hope's great, but like the saying goes "too much of anything is bad".

Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining

I can't give solutions to all of life's problems, doubts, or fears. But I can listen to you, and together we will search for answers.
I can't change your past with all it's heartache and pain,
nor the future with its untold stories.
But I can be there now when you need me to care.
I can't keep your feet from stumbling.
I can only offer my hand that you may grasp it and not fall.
Your joys, triumphs, successes, and happiness are not mine; Yet I can share in your laughter.
Your decisions in life are not mine to make, nor to judge;
I can only support you, encourage you,and help you when you ask.
I can't prevent you from falling away from friendship, from your values,
from me.I can only pray for you, talk to you and wait for you.
I can't give you boundaries which I have determined for you,
But I can give you the room to change, room to grow, room to be yourself.
I can't keep your heart from breaking and hurting, but I can cry with you
and help you pick up the pieces and put them back in place.
I can't tell you who you are.
I can only love you and be your friend.

Portrait of a Friend

This is the story of an acquaintance, Ms Broken Heart, of how she met Mr Piggy, how they became pals, how she felt different and how it ended with her heart breaking into a zillion pieces, all this within a week of knowing each other. She's so bugged, she could make steak out of him if ever she laid hands on him. Man, how mad she is, n the wierdest thing is that they're still pals, atleast I guess so. So, then Piggy, this is what she has to tell you...

Notice me, take my hand

Why are we strangers when Our love is strong

Why carry on without me

Everytime I try to fly, I fall

Without my wings, I feel so small

I guess I need you, baby

And everytime I see you in my dreams, I see your face, it's haunting me

I guess I need you, baby

I make believe that you are here, It's the only way I see clear

What have I done, You seem to move on easy

Piggy, it's ok to be friends, but you know pretty well the situation she's in. Why don't you just tell her whether or not you're interested, cos if you don't she'll just feel worse, n may end up making you feel as if you're responsible for it all... Hope you read this sometime.

Moral of the story: "Wise men subscribe when the time is ripe. The unwise keep waiting for a better offer that may never come"
